REPORT ON OUR BLACK TIA & TIARA BALL

"A fabulous evening from start to finish- good food, fine wine, excellent company, fabulous entertainment” -a sentiment echoed over and over again by guests at our Black Tie & Tiara Ball.

As guests arrived all the ladies did us proud and were stunning in their fabulous frocks, and the gentlemen scrubbed up well, too!

The scene was set by crooner Jonathan Swift serenading guests on the red carpet as they posed for their arrival photographs by Joe Griffiths EventPhotography.

The drinks reception (sponsored by Courts restaurant and Decantae) spilled outside as the Wales Air Ambulance helicopter delighted guests by making an unscheduled fly-past & mini- display on their way back from a "shout".

Guests were then called through into the huge dining area- tables beautifully bedecked with the evening theme colours of black, white and silver supplied by Over The Rainbow Balloons.

A faultless gourmet 3 course meal was provided by Courts Restaurant, Beaumaris- whilst guests were entertained by Dazzell magician at their tables, and rat-pack music from Jonathan Swift who roamed the room and had everyone dancing at their tables over dessert!!

The auction was expertly conducted by our very slick MC for the evening Actor and Producer Iestyn Garlick- star prize for the evening was the Silverstone driving experience and a signed boxing glove from Joe Calzaghe.

Guests made use of the fun photobooth piling in large groups to record the moment.

The finale of the evening’s formalities was the introduction of our 3 Win A Wedding finalist couples, with a short speech by TV presenter Llinos Lee; announcement of the winners was made by international opera star and Wales Air Ambulance patron Bryn Terfel who was among the first to congratulate Paul Jenkinson & Angela Armstrong from Pwllheli as fireworks ( by Uproar) accompanied their walk to the stage.

The evening was rounded off as everyone let their hair down dancing to live music by Gerry & the Hatricks- who kept the dancefloor full with their varied repertoire, until carriages at 1am.

"Will we do it all again next year?” was the question repeated at the end of the evening – and ever since.

Watch this space as we are in talks to set a date for the ball......"
